- Virtue had gone out.
When the woman with the issue of blood reached out for Jesus in the thronging crowd, she represented what we experience today when we have tried all remedies of the world & they do not not succeed. Touching the hem of Jesus garment. By Faith she reached out, by Faith she was healed , but in truth , her confession in front of everyone was the turning point. She touched the dirtiest part of the garment - the hem , she required faith to get her through the crowd ,reaching out for for Jesus. But her belief & confession to Christ made her whole. On confession of what she had done , then & only then , Jesus allowed her to go in peace. Mar 5:30 KJV — "And Jesus, immediately knowing in himself that virtue had gone out of him, turned him about in the press, and said, Who touched my clothes?" Mar 5:31 KJV — "And his disciples said unto him, Thou seest the multitude thronging thee, and sayest thou, Who touched me?" Mar 5:32 KJV — "And he looked round about to see her that had done this thing." Mar 5:33 KJV — "But the woman fearing and trembling, knowing what was done in her, came and fell down before him, and told him all the truth. Mar 5:34 KJV — "And he said unto her, Daughter, thy faith hath made thee whole; go in peace, and be whole of thy plague." And likewise, we all fall at the feet of Yeshua, & confess ,for we know the works he has wrought in us 🙏♥️ by Faith we are healed.
- Ministry of Tears
Cry with those who are crying ........ I remember when my Son came to me , his countenance was strained. This was after we had just completed a Park run together. He spoke of his separation & impending divorce from his then wife. I felt the weight he felt , I felt the hurt he felt , I could feel the tears welling inside me. But for him , at the time , I fought them back , reasoning a logical next steps approach to the situation. Imagine the pain of having your husband or wife look you in the eye and say, "I don't love you anymore-I want out of this marriage." I can't even begin to comprehend the shock, sorrow, and grief one would feel in such a situation. I had no wise words to say , no options to take but to feel & listen , holding back the tears. Also in recent months, I have felt an increased burden for my unsaved friends and loved ones. Bible prophecy makes it so clear that time on this old earth is running out fast and that surely Jesus is coming soon...perhaps today! So I have been praying...and weeping ...for my unsaved loved ones. It is the only way I know to minister to them! The great preacher, T. DeWitt Talmage, once wrote, "Help me explain a tear. A chemist will tell you that it is made up of salt and lime and other component parts; but he misses the chief ingredients-the acid of a soured life, the viperine sting of a bitter memory, the fragments of a broken heart. I will tell you what a tear is: it is agony in solution." These are powerful, moving words. And perhaps all of us have either witnessed or personally experienced the truth Talmage sought to convey. But I suggest to you that there is more to tears than sadness, sorrow, regret, and pain. Tears can be a release from stress and anxiety, a vent for frustration, a safety valve for overpowering emotions. Tears can be the most sincere expression of compassion and love. And just as raindrops wash the smoke, smog, and impurities from the atmosphere, so tears can wash away the stains of bitterness and disappointment from our souls. A time to weep As Solomon, perhaps the wisest man who ever lived, once declared, To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven...A time to weep, and a time to laugh (Ecclesiastes 3:1,4). We live in a time when everyone wants to laugh all the time, but no one is willing to weep. And if someone does cry, it makes people really uncomfortable. Children are hushed and told not to cry. Men are taught that tears don't go with a macho image...that only sissies cry. And women who weep at some sadness or loss are interrupted and advised to wipe their eyes and get control of themselves. Ministry of Tears No! No! No! Let me cry. It's all right to cry. I need to cry. In fact, one of my goals is to minister to those who are weeping. I want to do all I can, to say what I can...and when there are no deeds or words that can help, to weep with them. Perhaps my resolution is best expressed in the words of the late Bob Pierce in his moving book, Let My Heart Be Broken With the Things That Break the Heart of God. When Jesus wept, His tears were for others. Both Matthew and Luke describe how He wept over the city of Jerusalem for those who would not hear and accept the Truth! We, too, should weep for others. Weep over souls Should we be less concerned over lost souls than our Saviour? Why are we not crying and praying for the lost to be saved before it is eternally too late? I've seen people moved to tears by the plight of fictional characters in a paperback book. A melodramatic film may jokingly be described as a "two-hanky" movie, and it's perfectly all right. But the same people who get involved and empathize with artificial stories can see real live people around them dying and slipping into eternity without God and never feel a twinge or shed a tear. I wonder-if the unsaved friends and loved ones I'm praying for don't seem to be any closer to the Lord than when I first started, could it be because I haven't shed any tears for them? The Bible says, They that sow in tears shall reap in joy. He that goeth forth and weepeth, bearing precious seed, shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, bringing his sheaves with him (Psalm 126:5, 6). Weep over sin Sometimes I can hardly watch the news on television or read the daily paper without crying. My heart breaks at what is going on in our nation and the world today. There is such evil and perversion, such wickedness and violence. How long will God allow men's hearts to be filled with such deliberate, willful sin before calling them to judgment? I believe we are to weep over sin, whether our own, our family's, or our nation's. The Apostle Paul wrote, For godly sorrow worketh repentance to salvation (2 Corinthians 7:10). I am reminded of how Peter, after denying the Lord during the awful hours before the Crucifixion, went out, and wept bitterly (Matthew 26:75). Those tears of repentance led to his being forgiven and restored. Weep over sorrow Just as there is a time to weep over souls and a time to weep over sin, there is also a time to weep over sorrow. Do you remember when Mary and Martha showed the Lord the tomb where their brother Lazarus was buried? The Bible says, Jesus wept (John 11:35). There is a time for sorrow... and when it comes, tears are appropriate. Paul instructed, Rejoice with them that do rejoice, and weep with them that weep (Romans 12:15). Notice that the verse did not say to laugh with those who are laughing and to tell those who are crying to stop and cheer up. No, it says to cry with those who are crying! That means to share their sorrow-to get down under the burden with them. And when you share their tears-when all you can do is cry with them-you'll find it is a tremendously effective way to minister your compassion and love. I once read about a pastor who had suffered the traumatic loss of his little son. This man told me that in the midst of his grieving, the people of his church did not understand or know how to weep with him. They would come to him and say, "Pastor, why are you crying? Don't you have any faith?" After a while this minister wrote a book about what he had learned during his sorrowful experience. He called it, Jonathan, You Left Too Soon. But the main lesson I learned from his experience was that in the day of sorrow, it's okay to weep. In fact, for most people, it's a really good way to cope with loss and grief and begin to heal the broken heart and crushed emotions. Tears can be tremendously therapeutic. I know I have been made acutely aware of the value of tears. And I pray that God will make me willing to weep with those who weep, whether they cry tears of pain, heartache, sorrow...or joy! I encourage you to consider whether God can also use you in a ministry of tears. Remember, though, that our tears will not -cannot-last long. The psalmist sang, Weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning (Psalm 30:5). I'm here to tell you that a great morning is coming soon, when we will all be in the presence of the Lord. Oh, what a glorious promise and steadfast hope! For on that glad day, God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away (Revelation 21:4). No wonder Jesus said, Blessed are ye that weep now: for ye shall laugh (Luke 6:21).
- Who is Your Cornerstone ?
It is better to fall on the cornerstone & be broken to pieces than the cornerstone fall on you & grind you to dust. Jesus Christ was quite direct & explicit in Matthew 21 when he was speaking to the Pharisees & Sadducees of the day. He was describing exactly how they were receiving him , the prideful rejection of Jesus as the Son of God. Even the lack of understanding of King David's Psalm 1044 years earlier as a prophecy was quite telling. [Psalm 118:22 KJV] The stone [which] the builders refused is become the head [stone] of the corner. Jesus warned the Pharisees & Sadducees of the day , what the consequences would be. This translates to today & how caught up we are in our own worldly perspectives & idolatry. [Mat 21:42 KJV] Jesus saith unto them, Did ye never read in the scriptures, The stone which the builders rejected, the same is become the head of the corner: this is the Lord's doing, and it is marvellous in our eyes? [Mat 21:43 KJV] Therefore say I unto you, The kingdom of God shall be taken from you, and given to a nation bringing forth the fruits thereof. Speaking again to the Pharisees' & Sadducees of that time, Jesus warned them of their impending loss , bringing the "fruits of Christ" to a nation who was ready to receive of him. [Matthew 21:44 KJV] And whosoever shall fall on this stone shall be broken: but on whomsoever it shall fall, it will grind him to powder. The amazing thing that Jesus states, is "whosoever shall fall on this stone shall be broken" When you are ultimately brought low & into despair , you fall at the feet of Jesus 🙏♥️ There is brokenness & a state of despair, but only when you "open" to Christ Jesus in belief will you taste of the "Living Water" of Jesus Christ. The Coming judgement of Jesus Christ ,for those who do not know him, "will grind him to powder" It is better to be allowed to be broken, become opened & healed by Jesus Christ than to be ground as a powder & blown away by the wind.
- In Order
On Good Friday Christ died on the Cross for ALL of our Sins. On Easter Sunday the Resurrection of Christ happened from the dead. In order to Overcome, you need to have a Cross. In order to have Joy you must carry a Burden. In order to have Life the old man must Die. In order to have Sunday you must have a Friday. Christ knew he had to carry the cross. He never promised the cross you carry in this life would not be heavy. His wasn't! His promise is that Sunday is coming.🙏♥️ No matter how heavy Friday is: Financially, emotionally, mentally, or physically. Friday is heavy. That cross is weighing you down and you are about to crumble under its weight. His promise was simply this: He won't make you carry it alone. What kind of king would step down from his throne for this? John 14:6 KJV — Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
- Take Time to Pray
Understanding the Role of Prayer We rush and try to achieve our goals, but sometimes things do not go as planned. Jesus at the Garden I got up quite early one morning and rushed right into the day. I had so much to accomplish that I took no time out to pray. The problems just tumbled around me, and every task felt heavier. "Why doesn't God help me?" I wondered. He said, "Why, you didn't ask!" I saw no joy or beauty. The day sped on, bleak and gray. I asked, "Why won't the Lord show me?" He replied, "But you didn't seek!" I tried to come into God's presence. I used all my keys at the lock. God gently, lovingly chided, "My child, why didn't you knock?" This morning, I woke up early again and paused before entering the day. There was so much to accomplish, but I HAD TO TAKE TIME TO PRAY! The Invitation to Pray God has invited us to come to Him with our needs and burdens. Jesus said, Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you: for every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened (Matthew 7:7). God is ready and willing to meet your every need. He is more than enough for all your problems. But to receive what He wants you to have, you must take the first step. Teaching Our Children to Ask Have you ever taught your children to come to you for assistance with their needs? Even though you sometimes knew what they needed before they asked, have you ever waited until they made their petition to you? Jesus said, If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask him? (Matthew 7:11). So, we need to learn to ask. We must be sure to make our petitions known to God through prayer. The Power of Faith in Prayer Pray in Faith We must also pray with faith. Some people feel their faith is too weak, but I believe, with the Apostle Paul, that God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith (Romans 12:3). If our faith comes from God—if He has provided it for us—then we have enough, and it is sufficient! When in the midst of suffering and in need of healing, many of us may find it difficult to receive healing directly from the hand of God. However, the Lord often uses other hands and instruments to meet our needs. Healing can come through doctors and medicine. Depending on such healing aids is not necessarily a lack of faith. Balancing Work and Prayer An old motto suggests that we should work as though everything depended on us, but pray as if everything depended on God. Perhaps this is the perfect blending of faith and works endorsed by the Apostle James (James 2:20-26). Again, we do the possible, including prayer, then the Lord will do the impossible. 🙏 ♥️ Conclusion: Embracing Prayer in Our Daily Lives In our fast-paced world, it’s easy to forget the importance of taking a moment to pause and pray. Prayer is not just a ritual; it is a powerful tool that connects us to God. By making prayer a priority, we open ourselves to guidance, support, and the strength we need to face our challenges. Let us remember that God is always there, waiting for us to ask, seek, and knock. Embrace the power of prayer in your life, and watch how it transforms your journey toward achieving your goals.
- The Spirit of Truth
Discernment is not knowing Good from Evil, it is truthfully knowing "Right" from "Almost Right", Coming in the Clouds - Lion of Judah For even in the Garden Satan made a statement of what was "Right" into a lie by telling it as "Almost Right" [Gen 3:4-5 ESV] 4 But the serpent said to the woman, "You will not surely die. 5 For God knows that when you eat of it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil." When God spoke about dying, it was dying from innocence, good, righteousness... [Gen 3:3 ESV] 3 but God said, 'You shall not eat of the fruit of the tree that is in the midst of the garden, neither shall you touch it, lest you die.'" Now you can see why we need to know "Right" from "Almost Right" How ? When Jesus ascended to his Father's right hand in heaven he left us the "Comforter" , "Consoler" , "Advocate" he is an "intercessor" or in Greek = paráklētos The Holy Spirit destined to take the place of Christ with the apostles (after his ascension to the Father), to lead them to a deeper knowledge of the gospel truth, and give them divine strength needed to enable them to undergo trials and persecutions on behalf of the divine kingdom. The Holy Spirit is an intercessor/comforter/consoler/advocate of Christ pleading with God the Father for the pardon of our sins. But what does this mean for me ? Jhn 16:8 KJV — "And when he is come, he will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment:" To reprove something is "to bring to light" , "expose" , "convict". Jhn 16:9 KJV — "Of sin, because they believe not on me;" The Comforter will expose your own personal sin , because compared to Christ we are worse than filthy. If you believe, you would walk as Christ walked........ Jhn 16:10 KJV — "Of righteousness, because I go to my Father, and ye see me no more;" The Comforter will assist your walk in righteousness, because Jesus has ascended to the Father. Jhn 16:11 KJV — "Of judgment, because the prince of this world is judged." Everyone will be judged according to the Fathers standards , even Satan who has been already judged at the Cross. So the Holy Spirit, = God's Spirit , given to us by Jesus, when he ascended is important ! So important, that this is where we are led from in truth. = Conviction. There are some burdens that even Jesus relied on the Comforters delivery & timing. Jhn 16:12 ESV — "“I still have many things to say to you, but you cannot bear them now." Jhn 16:13 ESV — "When the Spirit of truth comes, he will guide you into all the truth, for he will not speak on his own authority, but whatever he hears he will speak, and he will declare to you the things that are to come." Jhn 16:14 ESV — "He will glorify me, for he will take what is mine and declare it to you." The Holy Spirit gives us that internal declaration, that we know , that we know , that we know. 1Co 6:20 KJV — "For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's." 🙏♥️
- Given Thanks
When Jesus taught or sat with people who were gathered with him, part of teaching was "giving thanks" for the provision of the gathering, food & fellowship in the name of the Lord. Give Thanks This is called "eucharisteō" in Greek. It is to be grateful , to feel thankful - for provision - specifically from the Father. Nowadays it is known as the Eucharist, Holy Communion , The Lord's Supper celebrated in many doctrines to varying degrees listed below. This is an honouring , praise & worship of the Father for provision. Jesus did this many times in the New Testament. Mar 14:23 KJV — "And he took the cup, and when he had given thanks, he gave [it] to them: and they all drank of it." Luk 22:19 KJV — "And he took bread, and gave thanks, and brake [it], and gave unto them, saying, This is my body which is given for you: this do in remembrance of me." Jhn 6:11 KJV — "And Jesus took the loaves; and when he had given thanks, he distributed to the disciples, and the disciples to them that were set down; and likewise of the fishes as much as they would." Roman Catholics, Eastern Orthodox, Oriental Orthodox, and many Anglican and Lutheran churches believe in the Real Presence of Christ in the Eucharist, meaning that the bread and wine are transformed into the actual body and blood of Christ. Reformed and Presbyterian churches, influenced by the teachings of John Calvin, believe that Christ is spiritually present in the Eucharist, and that believers receive the actual body and blood of Christ through the power of the Holy Spirit. Some Baptist and Pentecostal churches view the Eucharist primarily as a symbolic remembrance of Christ's sacrifice, without affirming any physical or spiritual presence of Christ in the elements. What doctrine or practice you believe does not matter above...... Jesus showed what to do quite simply without "carnal mind influence" . Give thanks! Are you giving thanks to the Lord for your provision ?
- Entertainment
What is the 1st part of "Entertainment" ? "Enter"..... What we see & hear becomes part of us. Continually the Lord points to the Eyes & the Ears being the entrance to the heart. This "will" become part of you. And from out of the mouth the abundance of the heart flows. [Matthew 15:18 KJV] But those things which proceed out of the mouth come forth from the heart; and they defile the man. It is time to turn off that Movie , silence that worldly music & ingest the Word. For what Jesus Christ did for us, is worth every spare moment. 🙏♥️ Jesus warned us what influence the eye has on the soul. [Mat 6:22 ESV] "The eye is the lamp of the body. So, if your eye is healthy, your whole body will be full of light, [Mat 6:23 ESV] 23 but if your eye is bad, your whole body will be full of darkness. If then the light in you is darkness, how great is the darkness! How is great is the darkness ? [2Pe 2:14 ESV] 14 They have eyes full of adultery, insatiable for sin. They entice unsteady souls. They have hearts trained in greed. Accursed children! Moses Commands Obedience In this instruction from Moses he shows how what we see can affects our soul. The context of this is "remember what you have seen so you may keep the Lords commandments diligently" [Deu 4:9 ESV] 9 "Only take care, and keep your soul diligently, lest you forget the things that your eyes have seen, and lest they depart from your heart all the days of your life. Make them known to your children and your children's children-- Glory awaits for those who practice with their eyes , ears , heart. [1Co 2:9 ESV] But, as it is written, "What no eye has seen, nor ear heard, nor the heart of man imagined, what God has prepared for those who love him"-- (Isaiah 64:4) There is also a Spiritual Aspect of eyes, ears as witnessed in the following. [Rev 2:7 ESV] 7 He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To the one who conquers I will grant to eat of the tree of life, which is in the paradise of God.' An ear to hear.......... You cannot hear if you have been ingesting the Worlds "Entertainment" [1Co 4:5 ESV] 5 Therefore do not pronounce judgment before the time, before the Lord comes, who will bring to light the things now hidden in darkness and will disclose the purposes of the heart. Then each one will receive his commendation from God.
- Salt & Light is what you are....
It only works when you are in physical contact with the dirt. Barren Land affected by salt erosion We need a certain amount of it if it is going to operate , but above all , we need a quality of salt & quality of light that is totally different from the society that God has placed us. We are to be out amongst the highways & byways of life , amongst the downtrodden & sinners, forever holding the righteous standard of Jesus Christ. So if we are the Salt & Light , we are made to stand in those dark places , neither turning to the right or left but keeping our eyes on Jesus, enhancing the environment, shedding light on its situation. "Light is a guardian against spoilage." "Salt is an enhancer of flavour" Christians are not meant for internal "clicks" or "navel gazing" We are not made to berate , cast down or talk down , but all things are done in Love - as Christ walked. Salt is: Preservative Anti Bacterial (inhibits growth of) Enhances flavour De-Icing Agent Pure substance Light is: Healing (phototherapy) Antibacterial (UV) De-Icing Agent (infrared) Preservative (UV , infrared, blue light) Form of Energy Matthew 5:13 ESV — “You are the salt of the earth, but if salt has lost its taste, how shall its saltiness be restored? It is no longer good for anything except to be thrown out and trampled under people’s feet. Matthew 5:14 ESV — “You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden. Matthew 5:15 ESV — Nor do people light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a stand, and it gives light to all in the house. Matthew 5:16 ESV — In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven. - False Assurance....
Often stemming from Religious upbringing, Church Activity , involving ourselves in the actions of the Church Body , intellectual reasoning of the Word. We can think we are "doing" what is right. Sometimes our Worldly perspectives are awry. It is time we need to each check our own walks. Are we reasoning that we have "salvation" by actions? I read & study ?, I do good works ? I attend church regularly ? These are far from the truth of scripture. When was the last time you experienced "true" conviction of the Holy Spirit? You will know it! It will come upon you , in those quiet moments of reflection. Your connection to the Father will be strong. Your repentance of what you have done will be heavy. Your openness & baring of your soul, worries & concerns will be transparent to the Lord. You will know the Love of Jesus that transcends all & see the truth in his sacrifice. Your eyes will leak.😢 Your heart will purge. Your joy will come. You will determine never to disappoint Jesus by your Words & Actions again. In this process is "BELIEF" John 6:28 ESV — Then they said to him, “What must we do, to be doing the works of God?” John 6:29 ESV — Jesus answered them, “This is the work of God, that you believe in him whom he has sent.” "THAT YOU BELIEVE IN HIM WHOM HE HAS SENT" This is what we mean by spending time at Jesus feet. Matthew 28:9 ESV — And behold, Jesus met them and said, “Greetings!” And they came up and took hold of his feet and worshiped him. John 3:21 ESV — But whoever does what is true comes to the light, so that it may be clearly seen that his works have been carried out in God.” This process will repeat continuously, for we fall short of the Glory of God. "For there is none righteous, no not one." This is why we live in the time of Grace & Mercy given by Jesus death , burial & resurrection. But heed this ⚠️ The door of Grace & Mercy is closing soon. Matthew 5:6 ESV — “Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be satisfied.
