Acts 27 Paul pleaded with the ship's crew not to take this journey. It was a journey of prisoners but also a journey of commerce. Everyone was going to make a lot of money by trading & selling. The owners , the crew , it was all about making money. Much like today...... Abundant wealth , the times are good , we don't want to hear about God.... The 80's , 90's , 2000 - 2020's We don't want to "hear" a warning about "don't head in this direction", or "potential loss of life." The ship's Master & Owner refused to hear Paul. [Acts 27:10 KJV] And said unto them, Sirs, I perceive that this voyage will be with hurt and much damage, not only of the lading and ship, but also of our lives. [Acts 27:11 KJV] Nevertheless the centurion believed the master and the owner of the ship, more than those things which were spoken by Paul. Many well known Pastors & Preachers (& local ones too ) have been saying "don't take this journey" for years. This journey of "self indulgence" , "creating your own way" & not listening to the voice of God. For Paul with all the other prisoners were kept away in the belly of the ship. The Master & Owner were putting the voice of God , as they did with Paul, down in the belly of the ship implying..... "we are not interested in what you have to say, do what you have to do , down there by yourself . We know what we are doing" They were creating their own way , crafting their own journey..... "We just want to make money , do it our way , we don't want to hear about this journey that will end up in loss of everything & loss of life" [Acts 27:13 KJV] And when the south wind blew softly, supposing that they had obtained [their] purpose, loosing [thence], they sailed close by Crete. They set sail when they thought the conditions were right. [Acts 27:14 NIV] Before very long, a wind of hurricane force, called the Northeaster, swept down from the island. [Acts 27:15 NIV] The ship was caught by the storm and could not head into the wind; so we gave way to it and were driven along. [Acts 27:16 NIV] As we passed to the lee of a small island called Cauda, we were hardly able to make the lifeboat secure, [Acts 27:17 NIV] so the men hoisted it aboard. Then they passed ropes under the ship itself to hold it together. Because they were afraid they would run aground on the sandbars of Syrtis, they lowered the sea anchor and let the ship be driven along. [Acts 27:18 NIV] We took such a violent battering from the storm that the next day they began to throw the cargo overboard. [Acts 27:20 NIV] When neither sun nor stars appeared for many days and the storm continued raging, we finally gave up all hope of being saved. [Acts 27:21 NIV] After they had gone a long time without food, Paul stood up before them and said: “Men, you should have taken my advice not to sail from Crete; then you would have spared yourselves this damage and loss. [Acts 27:25 KJV] Wherefore, sirs, be of good cheer: for I believe God, that it shall be even as it was told me. [Acts 27:26 KJV] Howbeit we must be cast upon a certain island. During this storm, there was much worry & fretting, however in the eye of the storm, peace was attained. This is a lesson in Believing & Receiving. Acts 27:22-44 There is a way for those who choose to hear. [Revelation 3:20 KJV] Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me. [John 14:6 KJV] Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

Catch yourself when doing these things ,making comment , correct yourself. [2 Corinthians 10:5 KJV] Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ; [Matthew 15:18 KJV] But those things which proceed out of the mouth come forth from the heart; and they defile the man. [2 Timothy 2:22 KJV] Flee also youthful lusts: but follow righteousness, faith, charity, peace, with them that call on the Lord out of a pure heart. Peace I give unto you. [John 14:27 KJV] Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. The Kingdom of God is seen as lesser than all other seeds sown into this World. What do you think of when you hear this verse ? [John 10:10 KJV] The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have [it] more abundantly. Jesus spoke this, it was a warning. The thief = satan , darkness. To steal what ? = Your faithfulness to Christ To kill what ? = Your hope in Jesus Christ. To destroy what ? = Your walk in Christ. Jesus came that you may die to self & come alive in him , that you may have life & have it more abundantly. Life appears at least 409 times in the KJV. Here is a snapshot of what it is that darkness wants to kill , steal & destroy. All these are personal to each one of us as we walk with Christ Jesus. In the Bible , lamps were used with Olive oil in them to provide light. The process of gaining the oil was to put the olives under great pressure, from this pressure came the ability to shine the light. King David writes the process of gaining oil in Psalms 141. [Psalm 141:5 KJV] Let the righteous smite me; [it shall be] a kindness: and let him reprove me; [it shall be] an excellent oil, [which] shall not break my head: for yet my prayer also [shall be] in their calamities. Moses also gave indication of the need of "pure oil" to keep our lamps burning. [Exodus 27:20 KJV] And thou shalt command the children of Israel, that they bring thee pure oil olive beaten for the light, to cause the lamp to burn always. Now Jesus shows us himself, under great pressure in the Garden of Gethsemane, where he prayed fervently to the Father. Likewise in the book of Luke , it shows how much immense agony Jesus was under. [Luke 22:42 KJV] Saying, Father, if thou be willing, remove this cup from me: nevertheless not my will, but thine, be done. [Luke 22:43 KJV] And there appeared an angel unto him from heaven, strengthening him. [Luke 22:44 KJV] And being in an agony he prayed more earnestly: and his sweat was as it were great drops of blood falling down to the ground. Jesus Christ the only begotten Son of God the Father was under immense burden & pressure, praying intensely to the Father showing us the Oil he was producing for everyones Salvation. In a location that translates to "Oil Press" .......... The "Oil" causes the lamp to burn always. This revelation exposes a different layer to the 10 Virgins parable. Oil we must gain by tribulation 🙏♥️ Tribulation is our personal journey towards the Lord. Squeezing, refining , purging so that the pure oil can shine our lamps for Christ. 🙏♥️🔥✝️🐏🌈🎶

Prayer Changes Everything. Prayer changes everything. As you feel frayed , tattered & torn , lost in direction, not knowing what is going to happen next, having anticipation & edginess, there seems to be no way to achieve peace..... Or is there? As we kneel before the most high Jesus Christ, "release those who you have held something against" [Matthew 5:23 KJV] Therefore if thou bring thy gift to the altar, and there rememberest that thy brother hath ought against thee; [Matthew 5:24 KJV] Leave there thy gift before the altar, and go thy way; first be reconciled to thy brother, and then come and offer thy gift. Humbly approach Yeshua, remembering those around you, not seeking your ways but the ways of the Father. [Isaiah 55:8 KJV] For my thoughts [are] not your thoughts, neither [are] your ways my ways, saith the LORD. Bring forward those who you have hurt & are hurt from , lay those memories at the feet of Christ. Ask for forgiveness. [Luke 6:28 KJV] Bless them that curse you, and pray for them which despitefully use you. Listen with your heart ❤️ [Luke 10:39 KJV] And she had a sister called Mary, which also sat at Jesus' feet, and heard his word. Pray for one another, there are NO boundaries as a child of Christ. Believe by Faith for without Faith how could you pray? [1 Timothy 2:8 KJV] I will therefore that men pray every where, lifting up holy hands, without wrath and doubting. In the car , at the shops , when you see someone hurting, when you are thankful...... [1 Thessalonians 5:17 KJV] Pray without ceasing. God's children know that Our Adonai is Gracious & Merciful. 🙏♥️ [2 Chronicles 6:39 KJV] Then hear thou from the heavens, [even] from thy dwelling place, their prayer and their supplications, and maintain their cause, and forgive thy people which have sinned against thee. Lastly, the prayers of Our Lord & Saviour Jesus Christ are held in highest esteem. (You are his , for if you weren't how could you pray?) [John 17:9 KJV] I pray for them: I pray not for the world, but for them which thou hast given me; for they are thine. Notice the difference after heartfelt prayer 🙏❤️

Olives Let us remember.....We are an unusual bunch of Olives , some Green , some Black , some Purple , sweet, sour , salty , bitter - quite complex really. In general the darker the Olive the riper it is. We are all grafted into the Olive tree by Grace & Mercy through Jesus Christ our Lord & Savior. Romans 11:23 NKJV And they also, if they do not continue in unbelief, will be grafted in, for God is able to graft them in again.

Amos 4 is a reflection of today's state of mankind. At the end of each verse of troubles & woes inflicted, the Lord declares. "yet have ye not returned unto me, saith the LORD." God, YWH , Adonai is calling everyone home to have a relationship with him. Turn away from the luxurious & pagan lifestyles that the Samaritan's were known for. Samaria was the capital of Israel until its fall to the Assyrians. It was condemned by the Hebrew prophets for its "ivory houses" and luxury palaces displaying pagan riches. What will be the warning signs ? [Amos 4:6 KJV] And I also have given you cleanness of teeth in all your cities, and want of bread in all your places: yet have ye not returned unto me, saith the LORD. Want of food. [Amos 4:7 KJV] And also I have withholden the rain from you, when [there were] yet three months to the harvest: and I caused it to rain upon one city, and caused it not to rain upon another city: one piece was rained upon, and the piece whereupon it rained not withered. Rain & Drought in nearby locations [Amos 4:8 KJV] So two [or] three cities wandered unto one city, to drink water; but they were not satisfied: yet have ye not returned unto me, saith the LORD. Movement of people's seeking the "water of life" physically & spiritually. Who did Jesus offer the water of life ? The Woman of Samaria....... John 14:13-14 [Amos 4:9 KJV] I have smitten you with blasting and mildew: when your gardens and your vineyards and your fig trees and your olive trees increased, the palmerworm devoured [them]: yet have ye not returned unto me, saith the LORD. Your goods & produce I have caused to suffer. [Amos 4:10 KJV] I have sent among you the pestilence after the manner of Egypt: your young men have I slain with the sword, and have taken away your horses; and I have made the stink of your camps to come up unto your nostrils: yet have ye not returned unto me, saith the LORD. What once was in coming out of Egypt (exodus) will be again, Pestilence & War [Amos 4:11 KJV] I have overthrown [some] of you, as God overthrew Sodom and Gomorrah, and ye were as a firebrand plucked out of the burning: yet have ye not returned unto me, saith the LORD. I have turned you & brought you out of the fire , yet you haven't returned. [Amos 4:12 KJV] Therefore thus will I do unto thee, O Israel: [and] because I will do this unto thee, prepare to meet thy God, O Israel. Repercussions [Amos 4:13 KJV] For, lo, he that formeth the mountains, and createth the wind, and declareth unto man what [is] his thought, that maketh the morning darkness, and treadeth upon the high places of the earth, The LORD, The God of hosts, [is] his name. We are like that crumpled up shirt in the laundry. Sweat stained from toil Food stained from providence Tear stained from pain Frayed from wear & tear. When we are put into the washing machine we are washed by Christ. The stains are removed by your acceptance of what he did for you. It doesn't finish. As we come out & are hung up to dry , we have many wrinkles. These wrinkles come out with ironing , the Hot iron is the Word. The more we ingest the quicker the wrinkles are made smooth. Even though we are smooth we can become very stiff & starchy. This is because we read not the Word in spirit but literally. In spirit , this is like the fabric softener that detangles the fiber's & layer by layer , precept upon precept we understand. Does that make us perfect? No, we are washed by the Blood of Christ , repentant of our sins (turning away from), in this World not of this World. We may stumble & fall , but knowing what Christ did for us brings that motivation never wanting to crucify Our Lord & Saviour again. Thankyou Yeshua 🙏❤️

When Jesus sat the men down on the grass prior to the miracle of the 5 loaves & 2 fishes there was a reason. Matthew 14:13-21 Not only was he feeding them physically but also with the Word (Jesus himself) that shows he is the pasture/grass that satisfies. OT = mirʿê = pasture = feeding place (location or act) NT = nomē = pasture = pasturage, fodder, food OT = deše = grass = food the beasts like, blade , early shoot, green herb (tender) NT = chortos = grass = the place where grass grows and animals graze. [John 6:10 KJV] And Jesus said, Make the men sit down. Now there was much grass in the place. So the men sat down, in number about five thousand. "Now there was much grass in the place" such a subtle comment, but with great implication. [John 10:9 KJV] I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture. [Psalm 79:13 KJV] So we thy people and sheep of thy pasture will give thee thanks for ever: we will shew forth thy praise to all generations. [Psalm 95:7 KJV] For he [is] our God; and we [are] the people of his pasture, and the sheep of his hand. To day if ye will hear his voice, [Ezekiel 34:31 KJV] And ye my flock, the flock of my pasture, [are] men, [and] I [am] your God, saith the Lord GOD. The Flock of my pasture is those that survive on the Word of God 🙏♥️ [John 14:10 KJV] Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? the words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works.
